Following intensive talks, NATO allies have reached consensus on removing MAP from Ukraine's path to membership, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba reported.
"I welcome this long-awaited decision that shortens our path to NATO. It is also the best moment to offer clarity on the invitation to Ukraine to become a member," he wrote.
The main points on the agenda of the July 11–12 Vilnius NATO summit are to be Ukraine’s prospective accession to the alliance. Although U.S. President Joe Biden still believes that Ukraine isn’t ready for full NATO membership, it is expected to obtain an accession roadmap in Vilnius.
