Missile attack on Kyiv’s central district on April 28: Photo, video (UPDATED)

In Kyiv, as a result of enemy shelling, a residential building was partially destroyed, rescuers extinguished the fire, ten people were injured, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on April 28 at about 11 p.m.

"On April 28 at 20:13, the State Emergency Service in Kyiv received a report about the fire in the capital’s Shevchenkivskyi District. As a result of enemy shelling, a fire broke out in a 25-storey residential building with partial destruction of the 1st and 2nd floors. At 21:25 the fire was extinguished on a total area of 100 sq. m. Search and rescue operations are being carried out on the site," the report on the Telegram channel reads.

According to preliminary data, five people were rescued, ten were injured.

12 pieces of fire engines and 98 personnel of the State Emergency Service were involved in the aftermath.

UPDATE. Vitaliy Klitschko, mayor of Kyiv, informed on the morning of April 29 that the damaged house was new and still sparsely populated, so there were few residents. During debris removal, the rescuers found the body of the deceased. There are also injured people: 4 persons were hospitalized.

Anonymous Telegram channels reported that two missiles hit the enterprise Artem in the Shevchenkivskyi District of Kyiv. Eyewitnesses posted a video of the strikes.
