Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko resigns—Media

Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko has written a resignation letter, he said to the outlet AgroPolit.com.

Consideration of his application may take place on Thursday, March 24. There is currently no information on the reasons for the resignation.

The First Deputy Taras Vysotskyi has been temporarily appointed as the acting Minister.

Context. The Verkhovna Rada appointed Leshchenko to the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy on December 17, 2020.

Before that, he was a Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, and served as the President's Commissioner for Land Issues.

Rumors about his dismissal began to spread in the fall of 2021, but this did not happen.

In November last year, police said they had uncovered an assassination attempt on Leshchenko.
