Martial law in Ukraine extended until August 23

Martial law in Ukraine has been extended for another 90 days, until August 23. The corresponding order was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 320 MPs voted for the corresponding bill No. 7300.

Context. Recall that martial law in Ukraine was imposed on February 24 after the outbreak of military aggression of the Russian Federation against our country. After that, it was extended several times.

On February 23, the National Security and Defense Council proposed to impose a state of emergency on the territory of Ukraine, except for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, because the JFO regime applies there. This happened after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on February 21 recognizing the independence of the so-called DPR and LPR.
