On the night of May 29, the Russians launched one more missile attack on Ukrainian cities. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 37 cruise missiles and 29 kamikaze drones. Speka estimated the total cost of the overnight attack for the Russians.
"This time, the enemy launched up to 40 Kh-101/Lh-555 air-to-surface cruise missiles from nine Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the area of the Caspian sea. The enemy also attacked with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones," the Air Force reports.
How much the attack on May 29, 2023, cost Russia
- 37 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missile. The estimated price of one Kh-101 missile is $1.2 million. Therefore, 37 missiles cost Russia around $44.4 million.
- 29 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. One Shahed costs $20,000 to $50,000, making their total cost around $580,000 to $1.45 million.
- 1 reconnaissance drone. It can be either Orlan or SuperCam. The cost is around $80,000 to $120,000.
Therefore, the May 29 missile attack cost Russia nearly $46 million.
