On September 6, 2023 the Russian army shelled a market in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, 18 people were reported killed and 32 injured as of 6:00 p.m.
The State Emergency Service and police conducted a search and rescue operation on the site of the tragedy. The rescuers searched through the debris, while the medics helped the injured people.
"Emergency personnel promptly extinguished the fire with an area of 300 square meters. About 30 trade pavilions were damaged," Klymenko reports.
