Deadly poisons: Netflix showed the story of Bandera’s murder and Yushchenko’s poisoning

An 8-episode documentary about the work of spies and intelligence "Spycraft" has appeared on the streaming service Netflix, writes # Буквы.

In particular, the series tells about the techniques and methods of the special services using real stories as examples. In the second episode, entitled "Deadly Poisons", the main characters include OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) leaders Stepan Bandera and Lev Rebet, and former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

The film follows how chemists and KGB engineers developed a poison gas pistol. It was this invention that was used by agent Bohdan Stashynsky on October 12, 1957 in Munich, when Lev Rebet was killed. With the help of an improved version of such a pistol, Stashynsky subsequently killed Stepan Bandera. The same episode tells the story of the poisoning of the third Ukrainian president, Viktor Yushchenko.

The series has now been dubbed in English, Turkish, and Polish.

Earlier it was reported that the first film with Ukrainian dubbing was released on Netflix. It was the fantastic action movie Outside the Wire.
