The Airbus A320 of the German airline Eurowings landed at the Boryspil airport for the first time. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

This German air carrier became the fourth member of the Lufthansa Group to operate on the Ukrainian market. For a long time, other airlines of the group have been flying to Ukraine: Lufthansa, Swiss International, and Austrian Airlines.

"Expanding the map of international flights in Boryspil is one of the priorities that the new management of the airport is now facing," said Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The airline will fly en-route Kyiv—Dusseldorf. Flights from Dusseldorf will be operated three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flights from Kyiv will be operated on the same days.

Additionally. Eurowings is a German low-cost airline, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group. It is considered the main carrier at the airports of Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart, and Cologne/Bonn. It has a fleet of almost 100 aircraft A319, A320, and A330.

In July, the Supervisory Board of Boryspil Airport determined Oleksii Dubrevskyi as the winner of the competition for the General Director position.
