Andriy Matyukha supports change: how charity becomes a strategy for the future

Andriy Matyukha, an entrepreneur and founder of the eponymous foundation.

In Ukraine, there is a growing demand for honest, visible charity that works not for the sake of a checkmark, but for the sake of people. One of the examples of such work is Andriy Matyukha, an entrepreneur and founder of the eponymous foundation. His approach is systemic support for medicine, cultural projects with deep meaning, and a long-term vision for the country's development.

A biography that inspires: Matyukha Andriy Valeriyovych

Andriy Matyukha is a Ukrainian philanthropist who chose not to stand aside. His story is an example of how a private initiative can grow into a large-scale social project with real impact. At a time when the country is facing challenges, he decided not just to offer support but to systematically change the approach to aid.

The foundation he founded grew from the idea of targeted assistance into a full-fledged infrastructure of actions — from purchasing modern equipment to creating artistic initiatives that uplift the moral spirit of society. And in every project, the main thing is felt: the desire to act not "for show" but for results.

Trust is especially important to him. He often emphasizes that transparency, specificity, and sustainability are the three foundations without which true charity cannot be built.

«It’s important to me that every contribution matters — not only financially but also on a human level. We build relationships, not just close requests,» says Andriy Matyukha.

In each direction — medicine, culture, education — his team seeks a balance between modern technology and humanity. Thanks to this, the foundation takes on a special tone — not bureaucratic, but sincere, alive. And this is undoubtedly inspiring.

The power of technology: the foundation provided equipment to Okhmatdyt

One of the brightest examples of targeted assistance was the Andrii Matiukha Foundation initiative to support one of the leading children's hospitals in Ukraine, which saves hundreds of young patients every day. In cooperation with the organization Good Donations, the modern Thompson surgical system was purchased. This equipment allows:

  • better visualization of the surgical area;
  • reduced trauma of procedures;
  • shorter duration of surgical intervention;
  • faster rehabilitation for patients.

The project cost over 2 million hryvnias and became vital for the emergency surgery department.

Andriy Matyukha Foundation explains: «We want Ukrainian children to receive treatment at the level of the best clinics in the world. This is our moral duty.»

Art as a message: ORIGAMI for UKRAINE

Culture is no less a powerful tool for assistance than technology.

Culture is no less a powerful tool for assistance than technology. That’s why the Andrii Matiukha Foundation supported the ORIGAMI for UKRAINE initiative — an installation of 5,000 paper birds placed on the facade of the Museum of the History of Kyiv. The goal is not only symbolic, but also practical: to raise funds for equipment for the Center for Rehabilitation Treatment.

The project united artists, children from the Youth Palace, and concerned Ukrainians. Its emotional depth impressed both viewers and organizers. Thanks to the support of the initiative, it was able to become a recognizable symbol of unity in a difficult time for the country.

«When words are powerless, symbols speak. It is images like origami birds that give hope and strength. They unite us,» shared Andriy Matyukha.

Development through strategy: priorities of the Andriy Matyukha Foundation

The Andriy Matyukha Foundation does not act situationally, but systematically. Everything that is implemented is part of a large strategy based on trust, transparency, and long-term impact. The focus is not just on one-time help but on influence that remains.

Key areas of the foundation's activities:

  • support for children's medicine: this includes both equipment and ensuring the conditions for effective treatment and rehabilitation;
  • development of cultural initiatives: especially those that have a social or symbolic dimension and create dialogue within society;
  • partnership with other foundations: the synergy of efforts allows achieving more — and this is a principle the team adheres to;
  • projects for the country's recovery: focus on sustainable development, community support, and infrastructure initiatives.

These are not just directions — it is a philosophy. Every decision reflects the aspiration not to patch holes, but to build new systems.

«We don’t act because something critical happened. We act because we believe that every day is a chance to do better,» emphasizes Andriy Matyukha.

Plans for the future are already being formed — and they are no less ambitious. Among the immediate priorities: expanding assistance to medical institutions in the regions, supporting cultural initiatives in frontline communities, and launching a personal educational program for youth.

And what is important — the foundation has no abstract goals. Everything is measured in specifics: the number of lives saved, the number of participants involved, the changes visible not only on paper. That is why the initiatives of Andriy Matyukha Foundation not only attract attention — they truly work.
