The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a strike against the enemy cruiser Moskva with two missiles from the Neptune Coastal Missile System (CMS).
This was reported by Anton Herashchenko, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
According to him, as a result of the hit by two Neptune ballistic cruise missiles, the cruiser lost its combat capability and needs to be repaired. In the coming year, it will not be combat-ready.
Military journalist Serg Marco also reported on the missile hit on the cruiser Moskva. According to him, a storm is currently raging at sea, so tactical flooding of the cruiser is required.
Recall that on March 24, the AFU destroyed Saratov, a large landing ship of the Russian Navy, in the port of occupied Berdiansk. According to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, the enemy ship destroyed in the port of Berdiansk could carry up to 20 tanks. It was also reported that the Ukrainian military damaged the Russian frigate Admiral Essen.
It is known that on March 31, the frigate Admiral Makarov replenished its stocks of missiles and entered the Black Sea, but since April 4, the Russian Federation has reduced the activity of warships in the Black Sea over the storm.
Moskva is a Russian guard missile cruiser, the lead ship of Project 1164 Atlant. It is part of the 30th division of surface ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy. It was built at the Shipbuilding Plant named after 61 Communards in Mykolaiv with the original name Slava (Glory). After the decommissioning of the project 1123 anti-submarine cruiser Moskva, it inherited its name and became the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet.
The RF Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of a fire on the Moskva missile cruiser, ammunition exploded, and the ship was seriously damaged. The crew was completely evacuated, the causes of the fire are being determined.
Turkish media report that the ship could sink at any moment. According to them, 54 sailors from the cruiser were rescued by a Turkish ship.
There are unconfirmed reports that the attack was complex. The Bayraktar TB2 UAV was sent to distract the crew of the cruiser, and after that a missile strike was carried out from the Odesa region.
