On November 5, 2023, Russian aggressors launched an overnight missile attack, damaging the Odesa Fine Arts Museum on the eve of its 124th anniversary, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

"On November 6, the Odesa National Fine Arts Museum turns 124. On this very night of November 6, the Russian wretches "greeted" our architectural landmark with a missile that fell nearby," he wrote on Telegram.

Five people were injured by fragments. They all were hospitalized and got the necessary medical help.

Russia also targeted the port infrastructure of Odesa with Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones. Air defense forces shot down 15 of them.

Warehouses, special unloading equipment, and trucks with grain were damaged by the attack. A fire that had broken out was promptly extinguished.
