In general, 33,745 legal entities were registered in Ukraine last year, and now their number has reached 1.25 million.
According to Opendatabot, in percentage terms, the manufacture of tobacco products is in the lead. In 2021, the number of these companies increased by 29%, in 2020-2021—by 80%. This was followed by employers for household workers (+19%) and IT companies (+14%).
In terms of quantity, legal entities in the following areas were the winners last year:
- wholesale trade (+8,699),
- public organizations (+3,285),
- house and territory maintenance (+3,271).
Trade is the most popular area of work among Ukrainian companies. It accounts for 23% of the total number of legal entities.
Context. Recall that in 2020 the number of legal entities in Ukraine increased by 41,539.
