On February 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid an official visit to the United Arab Emirates. Summing up the results of the meeting, the President announced the signing of a memorandum between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Interior of the UAE on mutual recognition and exchange of national driver's driving licences.
But in reality, nothing has changed. For example, our compatriots, as before, were denied a car rental. And only now, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, this memorandum has been approved. Its purpose is to simplify the procedure for exchanging the national driving licenses of the two countries—without the need to take the relevant practice and theory exams.
