Russia will get a strong response if it increases the intensity of missile attacks on Ukraine’s territory on August 23 and 24. This statement was made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"If they hit us they will get a response, a strong response. I want to say that each day — I think you can see it in the infosphere — each day this response will grow. It will grow stronger and stronger," Ukrainian President emphasized.
At the same time, he added that the Ukrainian side knew about Russia’s intention to strike Ukraine’s territory on August 23 and 24. However, Zelenskyy said, there’s an everyday threat of missile attacks in Ukraine.
Moreover, Zelenskyy asserted that Ukraine will respond to all of Russia’s attacks, both on Donbas and on Kyiv.
"For me as the President, and I’m certain, as for any Ukrainian, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Donbas are the same. These are all places where our Ukrainian people live. In Kharkiv, in Zaporizhzhia... The response will be the same in these cities as well," Zelenskyy stressed.
Context. Washington has intelligence data that suggests Russia is preparing missile strikes on Ukrainian civil infrastructure objects in the near future. Government buildings might also be attacked.
