Zelensky announced sanctions against 19 companies in the sector of subsoil use

President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree that put into effect the NSDC decision of March 19. Thus, sanctions were imposed against 19 companies working in the subsoil use industry:

  15. Eco Gas Alliance
  16. Epival Energy
  17. Yunolit Oil
  18. Profi Naft
  19. Best Geo Tech

According to the YouControl system, at least 16 companies against which the NSDC imposed sanctions are related to the group of businessman Pavlo Fuks. However, the businessman himself denies his involvement in these companies.

Context. NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov during the briefing on the results of the NSDC meeting on March 19 said: "A decision has been made regarding sanctions in the context of subsoil use... With respect to these 19 companies, the maximum type of sanctions that our country can apply, the National Security and Defense Council have been imposed."

"According to the Constitution, the subsoil belongs to the Ukrainian people. Unfortunately, in the overwhelming majority during the first even approximate audit, it turned out that there were not very many Ukrainian people there. Basically, these are people who live either in the Virgin Islands, or in other major states that are not entirely directly related to Ukraine," he added.

The NSDC also initiated an audit of all permits for the subsoil use without exception that have been issued since 1994.
