The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine applied sanctions to 19 companies from the sphere of using the subsoil of Ukraine.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov at a briefing on the results of the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
"A decision has been made regarding sanctions in the context of subsoil use ... With respect to these 19 companies, the maximum type of sanctions that our country can apply, the National Security and Defense Council have been imposed," Danilov said.
Restrictions are directed against the following companies: Geo Connect, Global Geo Invest, Trans Set Geo, Geo Post, Geo Vertikal, Geo Targent, Nadra Pride, Geo Force Oil, Geo Stance, Nadra West Group, Best Oil Company, Nadraprostir, Info Geo Trend, Adgein Macro, Eco Gas Alliance, Epival Energy, Yunolit Oil, Profi Naft, Best Geo Tech.
"According to the Constitution, the subsoil belongs to the Ukrainian people. Unfortunately, in the overwhelming majority during the first even approximate audit, it turned out that there were not very many Ukrainian people there. Basically, these are people who live either in the Virgin Islands, or in other major states that are not entirely directly related to Ukraine," Danilov said.
Earlier Danilov noted that Ukraine is very rich in minerals, but over 30 years of independence there is no understanding of how licenses were issued and how the exploitation of subsoil occurs at the moment.
