Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicles will be produced in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced.
The Ukrainian leader summed up the results of his recent foreign visits:
- The Netherlands: agreement was reached on 42 F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine;
- Denmark: agreement was reached on 19 F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine and the expansion of training missions for our pilots and engineers.
Afterwards, Zelenskyi set off for Greece to meet with the country’s President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Greek delegation. Meetings with the leaders of the Baltic states and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, are also planned.
Zelenskyi thanked the United States for its support for the aviation coalition and the people of Ukraine.
What is known about the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle
The CV90 infantry fighting vehicle has a 40mm Bofors L/70 cannon. This combat vehicle is capable of providing fire support and withstanding hits with 30-mm rounds. The vehicle also has all-round protection against 14.5 mm armor-piercing rounds and heat-absorbing filters to provide protection against thermal imaging and infrared cameras.
