Ukraine received the fourth tranche of €1.5 billion from the EU as part of a large-scale Macro-Financial Assistance program for 2023. The country’s Ministry of Finance reported this on Tuesday, May 23.
The total amount of funding under this assistance program reaches €18 billion in concessional funds.
"The concessional funds from our European Union partners, as part of the EU's Macro-Financial Assistance, allow us to finance our priority expenditures in a timely manner and in full, including to support Ukrainian citizens," said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.
The amount of international financial assistance for Ukraine’s budget obtained during the full-fledged war exceeded $50 billion, the exact number being $50,640 million, MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak emphasized.
