Serial production of a new Ukrainian kamikaze drone has begun, and the Defense Forces have already started ordering it for use in their operations.
Herman Smetanin, Director General of Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC, said it in an interview with the Economic Pravda.
According to him, the newly developed vehicle has a maximum range of 1,000 kilometers.
"There are many state-owned and private manufacturers in Ukraine. We have a counterpart to the Shahed, as well as more powerful models, because the Shaheds don’t fly this far. We have currently focused on the production of more sophisticated and expensive projects with higher specifications," Smetanin noted.
The maximum range of the newly developed vehicle is 1,000 kilometers. The former management of Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC already announced the development of a Ukrainian kamikaze drone with a range of 1,000 kilometers at the beginning of the year.
