Ukraine looks forward to significant progress in its integration into the EU's internal market and the extension of duty-free trade with the European Union until the end of 2024.
According to the government portal, these issues were discussed during the meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko with Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis.
The prime minister emphasized that integration into the EU's internal market and further deepening of trade relations were vital to Ukraine’s ability to stand up to Russian aggression.
"In particular, it is important to maintain duty-free imports of our goods into the European Union by the end of 2024," Denys Shmyhal said.
He thanked the European Union for its substantial macro-financial assistance and, in particular, for the €18 billion support program, with €3 billion already disbursed to Ukraine.
"It is crucial to ensure that financial resources are provided in a predictable and rhythmic manner. For this purpose, we have created a platform of ‘Financial Ramstein’", Smyhal said.
