Sergei Gaidai reports that the occupiers threw all their resources to capture Severodonetsk
Alexander Dvornikov, the commander of Russian troops in Ukraine, was ordered to take Sievierodonetsk under the full control of the Russian armed forces by June 10, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration Serhiy Haidai said.
The Kremlin will also be satisfied if the Russians can cordon off the Ukrainian troops defending the city by the specified date.
"Dvornikov was given the task of either completely capturing Sievierodonetsk by June 10, or completely cutting off the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway and taking it under control," Haidai said.
He added that all the reserves were thrown at these two tasks.
Recall, as of today, Ukrainian troops are counterattacking in Sievierodonetsk that was almost completely captured by the occupying forces.
At present, the main efforts of the invaders are focused on conducting offensive operations in order to encircle our troops in the areas of the cities of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk and block the main logistics routes.
In the Ltman direction, Russian forces are attacking in the direction of Sviatohorsk, trying to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets River.
