Defense Intelligence warns that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant may be shelled by the invaders, who intend to blame Ukraine for it.
This was reported by the press service of Defense Intelligence.
According to Defense Intelligence, the invaders’ security service claims that some "assault groups" and unnamed "Ukrainian armed volunteer units" would attempt an assault on the nuclear power plant at the end of July.
"The dissemination of such information may indicate that the invaders are preparing a false flag operation that will lead to a large-scale accident at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. According to the available information, another deceptive shelling of the station is currently being prepared with the aim of further blaming Ukraine for it," Defense Intelligence reports.
Earlier, the head of Defence Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the Russians had mined the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed it.
