Norway will give Ukraine $1.8 billion in aid

Norway will give Ukraine a $1.8 billion aid package. According to Suspilne, Norwegian officials announced the package during the December 13, 2023, press conference in Oslo.

"Your decisions and actions are not only timely and significant, but they also set an example for others," President Zelenskyi said about Norway’s aid.

According to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Norway has an aid package scheduled for five years to support Ukraine’s defense, economy, and reconstruction.

On December 13, 2023, Volodymyr Zelenskyi attended a Nordic Summit in Oslo and met with the country’s prime minister.

It was announced earlier that Norway joined the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund on November 23, 2023, and contributed around $22 million to the Support to Ukraine's Reconstruction and Economy (SURE) Trust Fund.
