Missile strike on Chaplyne: 25 people killed, dozens injured

The missile strike on Chaplyne in the Dnipropetrovsk Region killed 25 people. Injuries of varying severity were inflicted on 31 people. This was reported by Kyrylo Tymoshenko, adviser to the President’s Chief of Staff, after the search and rescue efforts had been completed.

He pointed out that two children were among those killed by Russian missiles. The body of an 11-year-old boy was found under the rubble of a ruined building. A 6-year-old girl died in a car that was parked near the station and caught fire.

Context. In the afternoon, on Independence Day, a Russian missile hit a private house in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Three people, a woman and two children, were trapped under rubble. A woman and a 13-year-old boy were saved by locals. The body of an 11-year-old boy was found by rescuers under rubble.

Later, the enemy attacked this settlement once again, with one missile first, and then three more. The attack was aimed at the railway station. As a result, 5 passenger cars were set on fire.
