Ukraine is willing to settle the situation with the exports of Ukrainian grain, and neither Kyiv nor Warsaw need a "grain war", said Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, as cited by Interfax Ukraine.
"History, future, and security simply leave us no alternatives but to exit this crisis. It wasn't we who created this crisis, and we are absolutely willing to end it. Emotions are swirling. Until October 15, the election day in Poland, the temperature can rise even more. But we are in a constructive mood. We are working with the European Commission. We have given Poland clear signals of our intent to settle this situation constructively. We don’t need this grain war, and neither does Poland," said Kuleba.
He stressed that Ukraine’s relations with Bulgaria and Romania have proved that "there are no unsolvable problems".
"Let me remind you that there were five countries that introduced limitations when the crisis started this spring. However, Bulgaria and Romania have now found a solution, while the other three countries haven’t. The reason they haven’t found it is obviously not because there are no solutions. There are some other reasons why these solutions cannot be found," the minister noted.
He asserted that the grain problem can be solved "provided that there’s a will to solve it".
"We do have such a will," Kuleba added.
