Musk asks to his fans for help

Elon Musk asked Twitter users if he should sell 10% of his Tesla shares on Saturday, November 6.

"Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock," he wrote and invited Twitter users to vote on his idea.

Musk promised to abide by the voting results.

As of 09:00 Kyiv time today, November 7, 2.5 million people have voted. Of these, 56% offered to sell the shares. Voting will remains open until tonight.

Musk clarified that he did not take a cash salary or bonuses. "I only have stock, thus the only way for me to pay taxes personally is to sell stock," he wrote.

Note that according to Forbes, on November 1, Elon Musk became the first person in history whose fortune exceeded $300 billion. Currently, his worth is estimated at $318.4 billion.

Tesla shares went up significantly in early November and are now worth about $1,222 per share.

Additionally. Until recently, unknown cryptocurrencies MoonRabit and Rocket Bunny skyrocketed after Elon Musk's tweet with a meme representing a rabbit holding a rocket. In 24 hours, MoonRabbit went up almost by 500%, while Rocket Bunny has gained almost 100% since the beginning of the week.
