UZ has completed overhaul of seven passenger cars. They will replenish the formation of the passenger train Intercity No. 738/737 operating on the route Kyiv—Zaporizhzhia, the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
The cars are equipped with video surveillance, air conditioning, and temperature control systems separately in each compartment. Also a button to call the conductor and an indicator of the restroom occupancy appeared.
Each compartment is equipped with monitors that show temperature, train speed, date, and time. There are two sockets with USB ports.

The restrooms now have vacuum toilets, a large mirror, and an updated water supply system.

The overhaul of one car lasted three months. The cost of the work is 16 million UAH, and that is almost half the price of a new car. Manufacturers' warranty for separate equipment is two years.
In the next few months, it is planned to repair another 24 passenger cars, and in total in 2021, overhaul and refurbishment of 50 cars is planned.
Additionally. Ukrzaliznytsia and Kryukov Railway Car Building Works signed an agreement for the supply of 100 passenger cars for the first time at the expense of budget funds. According to the Acting Gead of the UZ Board Ivan Yuryk, the first batch of cars, at least 20 units, will be delivered to railway workers by the end of 2021. The rest will arrive before the end of the next year.
