Ukrnafta signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the oil extraction industry with Weatherford International, according to the company’s press service.
"With a reliable partner, we will be able to work more effectively to meet the strategic goals we have set. More wells, more advanced technologies, increased production, and more stocks and resources — step by step, we move to energy independence," says Serhii Koretskyi, Chief Executive Officer of Ukrnafta.
In particular, Ukrnafta plans to adopt modern international standards (API, SPE) and phase out Soviet-style (Russian- or Belarusian-made) equipment and components, and an advanced technological partner such as Weatherford will facilitate the transition.
Weatherford, one of the world’s largest companies in oil services, has extensive experience and innovative technologies and operates in more than 100 countries.
