In 2020, Ukrnafta paid a total of 48.2 billion UAH in taxes. In particular, in December alone, the company paid 36.9 billion UAH, 36.1 billion UAH of them were taxes and payments as a result of the tax debt settlement.

In December 2020, the company paid 494 million UAH of rent to state and local budgets for the mineral resource use. Of these, 24.7 UAH million went to local budgets in accordance with the mechanism of the rent payments distribution for oil and gas production established in the legislation.
The largest revenues from Ukrnafta's rent were received by the budgets of Sumy (10.2 million UAH ), Ivano-Frankivsk (5.9 million UAH) and Poltava (3.7 million UAH) regions.
The principle of rent payments distribution for oil and gas production provides for the transfer of 95% of the rent payments to the state budget general fund, and 5% to local budgets.
Context. As of December 2020, Ukrnafta repaid its debt to the state in the amount of 28.9 billion UAH. The amount includes debt on VAT, income tax, rent, accrued fines and penalties for late payment of monetary obligations.
Ukrnafta will be able to pay 30.5 billion UAH of tax debt due to the law drafts adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
