Ukrainian defenders destroyed a rare Russian drone detection radar known as Repeynik.
This was reported by Operational Command "North". According to the report, the target was hit by an aimed shot.
"Reconnaissance officers of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostyantyn Ostrozky discovered the enemy Repeynik radar and gave the coordinates to their neighbors from the 45th separate artillery brigade. An accurate shot of an M777 howitzer — and the target was destroyed!"

The Repeynik radar is an advanced Russian drone detection radar. It was adopted by the occupation army in 2022. As of January 2023, only 11 such radars were known to have been produced by the Russians. This may indicate the limited amount of technical equipment available in Russia that can be used to detect drones.
