Back in October 2022, amid Russian air raids, Ukroboronprom announced the development of a Ukrainian weapon with an operational range of up to 1,000 km.

At that time, the following specifications for the new loitering munition were announced:

  • range — 1,000 km;
  • payload — 75 kg.

In January 2023, the spokesperson for Ukroboronprom reported that the new classified Ukrainian loitering munition UAV had successfully passed a number of tests.

Quote"A number of successful tests have been passed. We were moving on to tests under the influence of electronic warfare systems, and these tests have also been passed," Nataliia Sad said at the time.

These tests were conducted on the instructions of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The new development complies with the tasks that Valerii Zaluzhnyi gave the manufacturers at the beginning of August last year. It was also stated that the drone will have a return function, so it will be able to attack targets several times. There are no other details about the domestic UAV in the public domain.
