Ukraine expels a senior diplomat of the Russian Embassy in Kyiv in response to the actions of the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian consul Oleksandr Sosoniuk. This is said in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The Russian must leave the territory of Ukraine within 72 hours, starting from April 19.
Ukraine has expressed a strong protest in relation to the detention and expulsion of Sosoniuk, and also ruled out the charges against him. The MFA stated that the actions of the Russian side grossly violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963. Kyiv believes that such actions of Moscow once again confirm "Russia’s choosing the line of further hostility with Ukraine."
On April 16, Federal Security Service (FSB) officers detained the consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in St. Petersburg. "The consul was detained red-handed when he met with a Russian citizen, trying to obtain classified information from the databases of law enforcement agencies and the FSB," the Russian secret service said.

Additionally. A number of Turkish hotels have postponed their opening due to the ban on charters from Russia until June 1, 2021. In particular, it threatens vacation in Turkey for Ukrainians also, because 14 hotels have already announced the late opening.
Thus, the Calista Luxury hotel will open, but all concerts for May have been canceled, reports Turprofi.com.ua.
