Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of Latvia to implement 5G technology. Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development, reported this on Telegram.
According to Fedorov, Latvia was one of the first European countries to launch a public 5G communication network. Working with Latvian partners will be very beneficial for Ukraine.
This joint effort will mainly focus on providing support to mobile network operators and restoring broadband Internet. This will help provide Ukrainians with high-quality and accessible communications.
Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that cooperation with Latvia will help integrate Ukraine into the European digital ecosystem faster and build the necessary technological telecom infrastructure.
