The world will return to the "pre-COVID" world only in 7 years—Bloomberg

Bloomberg analysts have analyzed data on the vaccination rate around the world. To defeat the coronavirus infection, at least 75% of the population must be vaccinated, but that will happen no earlier in seven years.

The figure of 75% is taken as the basis for the complete removal or at least a significant ease of pandemic restrictions.

And vaccinations are being done faster in wealthier Western countries than in the rest of the world.

Israel has the highest vaccination rate in the world. This country will reach 75% coverage in just two months. The United States will only cover this path by 2022. It will take over 10 years for Canada to reach 75% coverage.

Some states, such as India and Mexico, have just launched mass vaccinations. In general, only a third of states have started the vaccination campaign.

Analysts have clarified that their calculations are based on the vaccination rates existing at the moment. But the vaccination rate will increase as new vaccines become available and are produced, and that will shift the forecast terms downward.

As reported, in the coming weeks, Ukraine will receive 117 thousand doses of vaccines against coronavirus produced by Pfizer and BioNTech. Vaccines will be provided through the COVAX program.
