Colombia, Kosovo, and Zambia will be the first countries to start adopting the Diia e-government application with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Samantha Power, the USAID Administrator, announced it at the presentation of Diia in the United States capital.
"In January of this year, I announced that USAID would support partner countries that are inspired by Diia and want to accelerate their own digital transformation by developing and expanding their own e-government capabilities," Ms. Power said.
She noted that this experience would differ from country to country and named the first countries that agreed to work on adopting the app developed by Ukraine for their citizens. According to her, the United States is committed to helping its partners find ways to make progress on digital public infrastructure.
"And we will continue our close partnership with Ukraine — both by continuing to support Diia’s development and by facilitating partnerships with other nations, so that Ukraine’s leadership can inspire more digital transformations globally," the USAID Administrator emphasized.
