The invaders attacked rescuers in Kherson. The Russian shelling killed one person and injured another eight, according to Ihor Klymenko, the Ukrainian minister of interior.
"Our heroes, unarmed, were carrying out restoration work when Russian terrorists began a heavy shelling. The wounded are provided with emergency medical care," the minister said.
He expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and described the actions of the invaders as "meanness and a display of fear".

As of June 20, the water level in the Kherson region was at the 0.3-meter mark. Since the beginning of the day, it has decreased by 9 cm. 595 houses in three settlements on the western bank of the region remain flooded. Rescuers delivered more than 29 tons of water to local residents.
Employees of the State Emergency Service are also helping residents of the Mykolaiv region overcome the consequences of flooding. During two weeks of work, 164 people were moved to dry land, and 382 people were given aid. 18 tons of drinking water and 38 tons of other goods were delivered to flooded villages.
