The Ministry of Health has launched a booster vaccination in Ukraine, but the third vaccination will not be given to everyone. First of all, the revaccinal dose is provided for the doctors and employees of the boarding houses, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
The third dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be administered six months after the second vaccination. Doctors and boarding house workers will be vaccinated solely with mRNA vaccines—Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech (regardless of what the person was vaccinated with before). The function of generating a Covid document after revaccination will become available in the coming days, the Ministry promises.
Ukrainians in whom, due to severe concomitant diseases, the proper immune protection could not be formed will also be able to receive the third dose. They can get an additional vaccination 28 days after the full immunization against COVID-19 without extending the validity period of the Covid certificate.
Context. Recall: since the beginning of the year, 34.7 billion UAH has been spent on the fight against COVID-19 out of the stipulated 43.7 billion UAH.
