The Russian invaders may orchestrate a provocation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in the near future, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned.
According to the report, foreign objects resembling explosive devices have been placed on the outer roofing of the third and fourth power units of the Zaporizhzhia NPP today, on July 4.
According to the Ukrainian military, the explosion isn’t meant to damage the power units but to create the appearance of "shelling" from the Ukrainian side.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine abide by the rules of international humanitarian law, monitor the situation, and are ready to act under any conditions. No enemy provocation will succeed," the General Staff added.
