The Government Committee did not support the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine initiative on transferring Ukrtransnafta from Naftogaz of Ukraine to its management.
Prior to this, during the preparation of the Cabinet of Ministers’ draft order on the optimization of the state property management system in the fuel and energy complex, this initiative was not supported by the Ministry of Economy. After that, the Ministry of Energy applied to the Government Committee, a government source told Interfax-Ukraine.
"However, like the Ministry of Economy, the Government Committee did not take into account the Ministry of Energy proposals on Ukrtransnafta," the agency's source said.
Context. The Ministry of Energy initiated the transfer under its control of the operator of the main power grids "Ukrenergo", the main gas pipelines Mahistralni Gazoprovody Ukrainy (MGU) that owns the GTSOU (Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine), and the main oil pipelines of Ukrtransnafta.
The Cabinet of Ministers took over the management of Energoatom, Ukrhydroenergo, Nizhnednestrovska HPP, ESKHAR TPP, Kalushska CHPP-Nova, and Lysychanska TPP.
