The Slovak government has delivered another nine MiG-29 fighter jets to the Ukrainian Air Force. The country’s minister of defense, Jaroslav Naď, reported on the delivery on Facebook.
"We’ve managed to safely deliver the jets from Slovakia to protect innocent lives from Russian murders in Ukraine.
The nine remaining jets (four were delivered in March) were transferred by land to ensure maximum security. Again, big thanks to everyone involved, because in such cases it is really an important and demanding logistical operation.
In conclusion, I will repeat that Ukraine knows how to repair and maintain its fighter jets. You can read about the real situation at the time when they were used by our armed forces in an interview with the former head of the Air Force, General Svoboda. I think some people’s jaws will drop," the Slovak minister of defense posted.
On March 23, 2023, it was disclosed that the Slovak Republic had delivered the first four MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
