Ministry of Health has published statistics of adverse reactions to coronavirus vaccine among Ukrainians

The vaccination against coronavirus infection in Ukraine has already touched more than a million people. At the same time, per more than a million (slightly less than 1.1 million) Ukrainians who have been vaccinated against coronavirus, less than 1% of adverse reactions are recorded—1,436 cases. And among them there is not a single fatal one, officials claim.

This was reported by the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

According to statistics, the cases of adverse events following immunization (AEFI) are stratified among the vaccines used as follows:

  • the most widespread vaccine CoviShield (AstraZeneca)—0.22% of the total number of inoculations (1,095 cases);
  • CoronaVac—0.049% (42 cases);
  • Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech)—0.034% (14 cases);
  • AstraZeneca—0.083% (285 cases).

Context. Since the start of the vaccination campaign in Ukraine against coronavirus as of May 27, 2021, 992,191 people have received one dose of the vaccine, and 107,524 people have been vaccinated with two doses. Over the past day, 3,509 cases were recorded, 183 deaths, and 16,867 people recovered.
