On the night of February 1, 2024, members of the Group 13 special operation unit of Ukrainian Defense Intelligence destroyed a missile boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet dubbed Ivanovets.
Defense Intelligence reported the operation on social media.
The operation was conducted with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the United24 platform.
The enemy vessel was staying in the roadstead of the Donuzlav Lake in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
A series of direct hits on the hull rendered the Russian vessel incapable of moving. Ivanovets pitched aft and sank.
The boat lost by the aggressor country is valued at approximately $60–70 million.
The Russian invaders didn’t succeed in their search and rescue operation, reports say.
