Russian invaders shelled the villages of the Shostka district, Sumy Oblast, around noon. The enemy delivered a strike from the Troiebortne checkpoint, the press service of the State Border Guard Service reports.
"Several enemy munitions hit the premises of a division of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. This facility was opened in 2015 to hold illegal migrants," the report reads.
The border guards added that during the war unleashed by Russia, this building was not in use.
Context. The day before — on June 7 — in the evening the enemy shelles Sumy Oblast, including residential areas. As a result of the attack, at least six houses were significantly damaged, as well as fences, sheds, outbuildings, etc. One person was injured.
In general, according to Dmytro Zyivytskyi, head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, the Russians have been shelling the region every day for the past two months. Mainly, they strike at the border towns and villages.
