"The Russian scum shelled the city. Around 1 a.m., residents of Mykolaiv heard four loud explosions. It is known that one of the missiles hit a multistory building. Another one hit a private house. All emergency services are on their way to the site. Some houses in the city are without power," the city mayor, Oleksandr Senkevych, wrote on Telegram.
The nighttime enemy attack resulted in 24 casualties, of whom one person died and the others were injured. On the air of the national telethon, Natalia Humeniuk, Head of United Coordinating Press Center for the South Operative Command, said that Russia attacked Mykolaiv with Kalibr missiles.
"Sadly, we now have information that one person was linked and 23 were injured. Rescue operations on site are still ongoing, although the fire has been extinguished."
Earlier, on April 25, the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, suffered a Russian attack. The aggressor hit a local history museum. Three people were killed, and nearly ten were injured.
