In the fall of 2021, half of the open positions in the IT market assume remote work, while at the end of 2019 there were about 20% of such offers. For such positions, the companies are mainly looking for specialists with commercial experience of more than 3 years. Most remote offers for Front-end, QA, and Java-specialists. This is stated in a study of the Ukrainian market of remote specialists, conducted by GlobalLogic.
"There are more and more opportunities to find an interesting project, because there is no need to visit a physical office to complete project tasks. Over the year, more than 500 specialists from 28 cities of Ukraine have joined GlobalLogic and are taking part in projects exclusively remotely," comments Yuliia Shmulia, Recruitment Director at GlobalLogic.
According to DOU, at the beginning of September 2021, more than 50% of offers for IT professionals included a remote work format. Moreover, for specialists with less than one year of commercial experience, only a third of vacancies provided for remote work, while for Middle and Senior specialists the share of remote offers was higher and amounted to 57% and 63%, respectively.
Most of the open positions in the market are for QA, Front-end, and Java specialists. In general, this is about 30% of all positions on the market. At the same time, it is offered to join projects without the need to be in the office in 6 out of 10 open positions for testers, Front-end, and Java developers, as well as React Native and NET specialists.
