During the first weekend after the release, the box office of the Mavka. The Forest Song animated movie totaled ₴24.9 million (over $680,000). The movie was watched by nearly 190,000 people.
The news was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
"During the first weekend on release, the Mavka. The Forest Song animated movie was watched by 189,048 people, and the box office totaled ₴24,903,241," the agency reported.
The creation of the animated movie was supported by the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The movie is distributed by FILM.UA Distribution and Kinomania Film Distribution.
At the same time, the State Film Agency calls on families to go watch the movie while it’s still displayed in cinemas.
