The thirty-eighth day of the Russia-Ukraine war 2022 continues. The Russian-fascist invaders intend to encircle the grouping of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
"In order to constrain the actions of our troops, the enemy is holding separate lines in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions in close vicinity of the Ukrainian state border with the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Volyn direction
There are no signs that the enemy forms offensive groupings. The units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus (RB) continue enhanced measures of operational and combat training. The enemy is building up the air defense system in the border areas with our state.
Polissia direction
The enemy continues to redeploy separate units to the territory of the Republic of Belarus. In order to slow down the advance of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders mine abandoned positions, advance routes, elements of transport infrastructure, and military hardware that cannot be evacuated.
Siversk direction
The enemy continues to hold separate units from the 41st Combined Arms Army to block Chernihiv. According to available information, the main part of the Russian fascist invaders’ grouping is concentrated to be withdrawn to the territory of the Russian Federation.
Some units from the 2nd Combined Arms Army were withdrawn from the Brovary region to the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The rest of the units are ready to move to the border with the Russian Federation.
Slobozhanshchyna direction
The enemy continues to block Kharkiv. They are trying to continue the offensive in the Izium direction.
Donetsk direction
The enemy is concentrating their main efforts on taking control over the settlements of Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Popasna, Troitske, Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Krasnohorivka. They are trying to establish full control over the city of Mariupol.
Pivdennyi Buh direction
The enemy is conducting assault operations in order to reach the administrative borders of the Kherson region.
How many occupiers are in Ukraine as of April 2, 2022:
- As part of the groupings of the occupying forces, up to 75 battalion tactical groups (BTGs) were involved in carrying out combat missions on the territory of our state.
- Up to 34 BTGs are restoring combat capability.
- 16 BTGs were completely destroyed.
