Denmark has started to train Ukrainian military pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets, according to Reuters, which cites the country’s armed forces.
Eight pilots started training as part of Denmark’s undertaking to give Ukraine the kets.
"The eight pilots have arrived at the Danish military air base in Skrydstrup along with 65 personnel who will be trained in maintaining and servicing the jets," the message says.
Earlier, Denmark announced that it would give Ukraine 19 F-16 fighter jets. The first six ones are to arrive in Ukraine before the end of 2023. Amsterdam promised Kyiv to give another 42 F-16 jets.
