Banned flight from Crimea became the most popular in Europe

The air route from Simferopol airport, that was closed by Ukraine, to Moscow Domodedovo airport, became the most popular in Europe in February 2021 in terms of the number of places for purchase that are available. This was announced by the British company OAG that analyzed the capacities of airlines, based on published schedules, awianews reports.

In February, 76,800 tickets are available on the Simferopol-Domodedovo route. The second place was taken by the route from Orly (Paris) to Pointe-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe), where 61,400 seats are available. The third one was taken by the route Vnukovo-Istanbul (61,100 available seats).

Boryspil-Istanbul (47,800 seats) and Simferopol-Sheremetyevo, that is prohibited (43,900), are also included in the top 10 popular international routes from European airports in the direction from Ukraine, taking seventh and eighth places, respectively.

Context. Earlier, the US Federal Aviation Administration allowed its airlines to operate flights in "certain areas" of the Simferopol airspace.
