Presidential Office of Ukraine Head Andriy Bohdan has said he was offered money in order not to "dismiss" the Kyiv City State Administration Head Vitali Klitschko. Bohdan said this on Tuesday during a briefing, according to the Kyiv-based UNIAN news agency.
"A few days ago I was approached by one of the lawyers. He introduced himself as a lawyer to one of those "overseers" preventing Mr. Klitschko from effectively managing the city. The lawyer suggested that working with the local budget of the Kyiv City Council and the Kyiv City State Administration earned them to receive $40 million each year. I was asked not to touch the chairman of the KCSA and offered to divide this budget in half, " Bohdan said at a press conference.
According to him, he was not ready for this meeting and did not have time to fix the proposal. Bohdan also promised to pass this information to law enforcement.

- Earlier, Andrei Bogdan appealed to the government with a request to provide the necessary documents for the dismissal of Klitschko. The latter, in response, said that the distribution of powers of the mayor of Kiev and the capital's state administration allegedly contradicts the European practice of local self-government.
